Monthly Payment
The amount you pay every month.
Total Amount Paid
The total amount you will pay during the life of your loan, assuming that you make all the payments.
Total Interest Paid
The amount of interest you will pay during the life of the loan, assuming that you make all the payments.
The Amortization Schedule
The amortization schedule or amortization table, shows the internal details of each monthly payment, for the life of the loan.
Payment Number
Each payment has a sequential number, starting with 1 for the first payment, 2 for the second, and so on.
Principal
Principal is the portion of each monthly payment that is subtracted from the amount you borrowed from the lender.
Notice that the Principal amount of each payment is small during the early payments,
and becomes larger towards the end of the loan.
Interest
Interest is the portion of each monthly payment that goes to pay interest to the lender.
Interest is the income the a lender receives for making the loan.
Notice that the Interest amount of each payment is large during the early payments,
and becomes smaller towards the end of the loan.
Loan Balance
Loan Balance is the amount of the original loan that remains after each payment.
Notice how the Loan Balance becomes smaller with each payment, until the loan is fully paid off.

Download the amortization schedule as a file. After you download the file, you can view it
and edit it by using accounting software such as Microsoft Excel, or any similar software.

CSV is a file format commonly used by computer programs to analyze financial data.
