The 2014 Camaro ZL1 Coupe strikes a good balance between daily drivability and raw performance. The brawny heart of the beast is the supercharged 6.2 liter LSA V8 rated at 580 hp and 556 lb-ft of torque. It is tamed with an adjustable Magnetic Ride Control suspension, beefy Brembo calipers, and large steel brake rotors.

The ZL1 features the latest generation of Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) with three different damper calibrations: Tour, Sport and Track. The MRC shock absorbers employ magneto-rheological fluid, which allows damping levels to be adjusted up to 1,000 times per second, giving the system exceptionally precise wheel control and reducing vehicle heave, pitch and roll on the roughest roads and the most demanding racetracks.
