The new high-output LT1 6.2 liter all-aluminum normally-aspirated V8 engine is the heart of the 2014 Corvette. The engine's performance comes from combining advanced technologies such as direct injection, Active Fuel Management and continuously variable valve timing with an advanced combustion system.

The LT1 engine is offered with an all-new seven-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching. This transmission with the Z51 Performance Package includes specific close-ratio gearing for more aggressive driving.
