Optional AMG Aerodynamics package includes a fixed adjustable carbon-fiber rear aerofoil in the style of the SLS AMG GT3, rear aerofoil braced by aluminum elements on a special insert on the rear lid, additional carbon-fiber air dams on the front apron.

Other options include AMG carbon-fiber exterior mirror, AMG carbon-fiber engine cover, AMG Interior Carbon-Fiber package, AMG infotainment system (incl. COMAND APS, AMG Performance Media and backup camera), Media Interface.
The vehicle was unveiled in 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, with market launch set to begin in June 2013.
U.S. model set to go on sale on summer 2013 as the 2014 model year vehicle.
